WHO CAN ENTER: Anyone that can post original works on DeviantArt.

THE ART: Hand rendered or computer aided (no photo manipulations), original drawing created specifically for this contest by the member submitting it. Any size. No mature content. You may only submit one entry.

Give X-Men’s Rogue a redesign. Plenty of references can be found on the internet or even searching on DA in regards to who the hell she is.

Full figure only although you may add a background, setting, color, shape etc. in a creative way so as to keep it in the background (behind the figure). The figure is not to be cropped or costume obscured (other then by the body or power itself) so you have to be creative with the composition with or without a background.

The figure (at a minimum) must be in full color, any medium/method. Any variation of red and/or brown hair. She must have a white streak. She must have some shade of green somewhere on her person. Powers can be none or any single/combination of the following: flight, strength, invulnerability and/or fire (creating). Weapons optional. Your choices can help improve composition or limit it.

BEGINS: Sunday, 03/01/09 at 12:01am EST. (It has begun, so get to it!)

DEADLINE: Thursday, 04/30/09 at 11:59pm EST. Post your entry on your DA page first then provide the link in this journal’s comments or 'note' it to me between 03/01-04/30.

And since I won’t be posting any of the entries (in a new journal) till after the deadline, you can make changes to your entry as you see fit, but NOT after the deadline. Try to make the changes within that deviation post as to keep your posted link valid since we can't edit comment posts.


In other words, your submission is not final until I post a linked thumbnail in the new journal for voting. This will give you an opportunity to step back and see something you might of missed the first time around and make improvements.

VOTING STARTS: Shortly after the deadline…when I decide to post all the entries at one time in a new journal.

VOTING ENDS: 2 weeks after voting begins…exact time to be decided on the day voting begins.
