I like the lucid liquid look to the figures, I think that's real neat... the faint touches of red and pink give this piece a nice, light feminine feel, adds this extra bit of emotion to it that I personally think is very sweet.

The cut in the middle is a nice artistic mechanism as well, it really makes the whole page look unique.

If I had any issue with this it would be the small lettering but even that adds to the sweet feel of the piece. Well done.

I appreciate the feedback..and am glad you think so on regards to being published. This will be my first self-project to get out there...I'll be doing these over though to be up to date with my level of skill at this point.

I just have to finish a working script, pencil out the 32-56 pages, ink those pages, color, leter...well...I just have to finish the whole dang thing!

No. This is two pages taken from the first chapter (essentially the first and last page). They found an unconscious girl under their cherry tree and took her in as their daughter. A year later, the mother dies...this chapter is told through the the mother's point of view speaking to the father (which his is the second chapter).

BTW: I'm the author. And this was just a sample for school...so the story has a lot to be worked out and the final may differ slightly from these samples through both artwork and dialog....but the method of story telling and premise will remain the same.
